6:30 PM: Public Hearing (joint between Highway and Planning Board) for tree removals on Hunt Hill Road. This is toward the very end of Hunt Hill Road, and around the corner for a vehicle turnaround. Each tree is marked with an orange paint mark.
6:45 PM: Approval of Minutes of previous meeting(s)
6:50 PM: Correspondence:
1. Upcoming Colrain Zoning Board of Appeals hearing October 1, 2025 for the opportunity to comment on the proposed revisions to Colrain’s solar bylaws.
2. Upcoming Greenfield Zoning Board of Appeals hearing October 9, 2025 for a special permit to allow congregate housing for the handicapped at 28 High Street.
6:55 PM: Reports from members attendance on the recent meetings by the Town and other agencies assisting us.
7:00 PM: Citizens’ request for a proposal to alter section 2.3 of the zoning bylaws, “lot and yard requirements,” decreasing lot setbacks by right, w/o special permit.
7:10 PM: Green Communities criterion for State acceptance. Looks like they’re looking to enforce a one-year maximum decision process for solar projects.
7:00 PM: Status of Attorney General submission of Bylaw Amendments after Town Meeting.
Possible further discussions: Marijuana bylaws;
- Review of cell tower regs for electromagnetic concerns;
- PB Regulations updating to begin;
- Leyden Flood Plain map status town-wide;
