Highway Department

The Highway Department Superintendent is William Brooks. The department maintains the 32 miles of road in the town. This maintenance includes grading, paving, plowing, clearing brush by the roadside, roadside mowing, proper drainage and clearing fallen trees in the road. The department also does maintenance on the fleet of vehicles.

The Highway Department provides a service for the town by providing woodchips for residents to use on their properties. The woodchip pile is located north of the Avery Field Pavalion back in the corner for self service.
